Gault&Millau Hotelguide 2027 presented in Vienna
The Gault&Millau Hotelguide 2027 was presented at the Palais Coburg in Vienna, featuring 688 hotels across Austria. The Eriro hotel in Tyrol was named Hotel of the Year.
For the first time, the guide includes a dedicated category for Longevity and Medical Wellness, reflecting industry trends such as biohacking, sleep optimization, and individualized health programs. The guide also notes the increasing role of artificial intelligence in personalizing guest experiences and supporting concierge services.
During the presentation, Tourism State Secretary Elisabeth Zehetner emphasized that guests seek experiences rather than just accommodations. She also mentioned plans to implement an AI strategy to support hosts in their duties.
