Gaung Garuda 2026 festival attracts 1,000 visitors in Germany

The Indonesian Students Association (PPI) Hannover successfully hosted Gaung Garuda 2026, a music, culture, and culinary festival held at Kulturzentrum Faust in Hannover, Germany. Under the theme ‘A Celestial Night’, the event drew approximately 1,000 attendees from Germany and other European nations, including the Netherlands, Austria, and Switzerland.

The festival featured a performance by Indonesian singer Tulus, which created an intimate atmosphere as the crowd sang along to his songs. In addition to professional musicians, the event provided a platform for Indonesian students in Germany to showcase their musical talents.

Cultural diplomacy was a key component of the event, which was attended by Indonesian diplomatic representatives, including Deputy Ambassador Fajar Wirawan Harijo and Consul General Renata Siagian. The festival also included a culinary bazaar offering traditional Indonesian dishes such as nasi Padang, nasi rames, and various traditional snacks to introduce Indonesian flavors to the international community.
