GAUSS invests €5 million in new unmanned systems plant in Vukovar

The Osijek-based IT company GAUSS d. o. o. is investing approximately five million euros to establish a new production facility in the Vukovar economic zone. The plant is expected to become operational during the second quarter of next year.

Moving beyond its origins as a web development and software agency, the company aims to develop and manufacture integrated unmanned systems. These systems will combine unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) with artificial intelligence, smart software, and other advanced technologies. The intended applications include surveillance, fire prevention, protection of critical infrastructure, and border monitoring.

According to Hrvoje Sagrak, Director of Business Development and Sales, the project seeks to transfer technical expertise and know-how gained through international partnerships, particularly in the United Arab Emirates, to Croatia. The facility will utilize Industry 4.0 technologies and 3D printing to facilitate the rapid prototyping and testing of new solutions. In its initial phase, the plant is expected to employ approximately ten specialists.
