Gautam Adani and Michael Bloomberg discuss energy transition in New Delhi

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani and Bloomberg co-founder Michael Bloomberg met in New Delhi during the Bloomberg New Economy Forum to discuss India’s growth roadmap and the global energy transition.

Adani emphasized that decarbonization must not become an “ideological decree” that increases costs for citizens or hinders industrialization in the Global South. He argued that for a successful transition, clean energy must become a reliable and more affordable option than legacy fuels. To achieve this, he noted the necessity of reducing the “green premium” through coordinated efforts in capital, policy, and execution.

The discussions also covered topics including artificial intelligence, resilient urban infrastructure, and sustainable growth strategies.
