Adani Group launches Rs 4,000 crore hospital project in West Bengal

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani visited Kolkata to discuss industrial and investment projects with West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari. During the visit, the foundation stone was laid for the Adani Arogya Mandir, a proposed 2,000-bed multi-specialty hospital located in New Town within the Bengal Silicon Valley Tech Hub.

The healthcare project involves an investment of over Rs 4,000 crore and is designed to serve as a comprehensive ecosystem for eastern India. The facility aims to accommodate more than 200,000 inpatients and 2 million outpatients annually, potentially creating 10,000 jobs. Notably, 1,000 beds will be allocated to economically disadvantaged sections under state and central health insurance programs. The campus will also include a medical college, a College of Nursing, and specialized research facilities, with an initial focus on advanced cancer care.

As part of his trip, Gautam Adani and his wife, Preeti Adani, also visited the Kalighat Temple to offer prayers.
