Gautam Buddh Nagar job‑scam ring busted, 20 arrested

Police in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, raided a fake call centre operating from the Durga Industrial Area in Rajendra Nagar and arrested 20 people – three men and seventeen women. The gang purchased personal data from online job portals, called unemployed youths, and offered bogus job opportunities. Victims were asked to pay registration, processing, interview and other fees, from which the suspects collected large sums.

Investigators recovered twelve laptops, thirty‑seven mobile phones, forty‑seven SIM cards, debit and credit cards, banking documents, forged identity papers, pen drives, a printer and an Audi car used in the cyber‑fraud. The chief accused, Abhishek Jain, ran the operation under the name “Jainson International” and hid it behind a makhana‑business front, with active participation from his wife Hina Panwar and relatives. Authorities have filed cases against all arrested individuals and continue to examine bank records and digital trails to trace the flow of money and any additional accomplices.
