Gautam Buddha Nagar health department alerts after 120 swine flu cases
Health authorities in Gautam Buddha Nagar have issued an alert following approximately 120 reported cases of swine flu in the district. In response to the rising numbers, the health department has prepared a 20-bed ICU equipped with ventilators to manage severe cases.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Madan Mohan Mani Tripathi has advised citizens to monitor for symptoms such as fever, sore throat, cough, body aches, weakness, and breathing difficulties. The department has urged the public to avoid crowded areas, maintain hygiene, and cover their mouths and noses when coughing or sneezing. Officials emphasized that individuals should not self-medicate and should seek professional medical advice immediately if symptoms appear, particularly for high-risk groups like children and the elderly.
