Gautam Buddha Nagar issues health advisory amid swine flu and dengue rise
Health authorities in Gautam Buddha Nagar have issued an emergency advisory for hospitals following a rise in seasonal illnesses. Recent data indicates that 192 cases of swine flu have been recorded in the district.
In addition to swine flu, there has been an increase in dengue cases, with 48 confirmed infections. The health department has instructed medical facilities to maintain high vigilance in identifying patients presenting symptoms such as high fever, cough, sore throat, breathing difficulties, body aches, or extreme weakness.
Hospitals are required to prioritize medical examinations for suspected cases and monitor patients with severe symptoms closely. Authorities are also emphasizing the need for infection control measures among medical staff and ensuring the availability of essential medicines and diagnostic resources. To combat dengue, health teams are intensifying mosquito control and larvae prevention efforts in areas with standing water.
