Gautam Gambhir defends India's T20I form and reflects on coaching challenges

India head coach Gautam Gambhir has defended his team following inconsistent performances in recent T20I series. Addressing critics, Gambhir noted that a few poor results do not define the squad, highlighting that the team secured a second T20 World Cup title significantly faster than the 17-year gap experienced between their first and second triumphs.

In a recent interview, Gambhir also reflected on the challenges of his coaching tenure. He identified the decision to drop Sanju Samson from the playing XI during the T20I series in England as the most difficult choice he has made, describing it as the only night in two years he could not sleep due to the weight of the decision.
