Gauweiler proposes nationwide CSU–Free Voters alliance

In Munich, former deputy CSU chairman Peter Gauweiler urged his party to deepen ties with the Free Voters and contest elections outside Bavaria in the form of a nationwide alliance, calling it a Bavarian success concept. He told Mediengruppe Bayern in its Tuesday edition: "Freie Wähler und CSU sollen auch außerhalb des Freistaates als bayerisches Erfolgskonzept antreten können."
