Gavin Bazunu set for return to St Mary's with Bolton Wanderers

Gavin Bazunu is set to return to St Mary's to play against Southampton in the colors of Bolton Wanderers. Despite potential criticism from some supporters, arguments have been made that the goalkeeper deserves a respectful reception rather than abuse.

Bazunu joined Southampton in the summer of 2022 at age 20. His tenure was marked by playing behind a rotating defensive line that utilized 13 different defenders during a single Premier League season. While he faced scrutiny for certain errors, supporters of the player note that he did not demand a transfer or show disloyalty to the club.
