Gavin Newsom lists $7.5M Sacramento-area home for sale

California Governor Gavin Newsom and his wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, have listed their $7.5 million residence in the Sacramento-area community of Fair Oaks for sale. The listing price is double what the couple paid for the property eight years ago.

During a press conference, Newsom addressed questions regarding the home’s massive 5,000-bottle wine cellar, claiming he was largely unaware of its full capacity. He stated, “I literally didn’t even know,” and suggested that the space was primarily used for storing books rather than wine.

The 12,000-square-foot property includes several amenities, such as a resort-style pool, a tennis court, a private casita, and a wellness area. This real estate move comes as Newsom prepares for an anticipated run for the White House; the couple also purchased a $9 million home in Marin County in 2024.
