Gavirate to host Alzheimer Fest with workshops and cycling rally

The Alzheimer Fest, organized by the association Progetto Rughe, will take place in Gavirate on September 5 and 6. The event aims to raise awareness regarding cognitive decline and provide community engagement for families and vulnerable individuals.

On Saturday, September 5, activities will begin at the Chiostro di Voltorre with expert meetings and experiential workshops for those affected by dementia. The evening will feature a social gathering and a tango event along the lakefront.

Sunday, September 6, will focus on the Gavirate lakeside, featuring the debut of 'Il Borgo della Memoria' (The Village of Memory). This area will include a dedicated space showcasing the history of local cycling through photographs and historical materials. Additionally, Ciclovarese will host a cycling rally as part of the program, offering a Gran Premio Ciclovarese event and a historical exhibition of the relationship between cycling and the local territory.
