Gaya: Four dead after toxic gas exposure in well accident
Four people, including a father and son, died after being exposed to toxic gas in an old well in Garh Karmouni village, located in the Dobhi block of Gaya district, Bihar.
The incident occurred when a villager entered the well to repair a motor and began struggling due to the gas. His son entered the well to rescue him, followed by two other individuals attempting to help. All four subsequently died. During the rescue operation, a member of the fire brigade also lost consciousness due to the gas and was hospitalized.
Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary expressed grief over the incident and announced compensation for the victims' families. The deceased have been identified as Vijay Chaudhary, Vikas Chaudhary, Deljand Manjhi, and Chamari Manjhi.
