New Orleans Saints defeat New York Giants as Alvin Kamara hits milestone

The New Orleans Saints defeated the New York Giants 34-27 in Week 6, ending a three-game losing streak. During the contest, Saints running back Alvin Kamara achieved a historic milestone, becoming only the sixth player in NFL history to record at least 5,000 rushing yards and 5,000 receiving yards.

The game featured significant quarterback movement for the Giants. Following struggles by veteran Jameis Winston, head coach John Harbaugh benched Winston in the fourth quarter in favor of J.J. McCarthy. McCarthy provided a spark, recording 243 passing yards and a touchdown in limited play, leading to immediate calls for him to take over the starting role.

In New Orleans, owner Gayle Benson has expressed public dissatisfaction with the team’s 1-4 start, holding head coach Kellen Moore and general manager Mickey Loomis accountable for the organization’s performance. While Benson recently endorsed Moore following a practice visit, the pressure remains high for the franchise to improve.
