Gaz-System completes key pipeline inspection for FSRU program

The 250 km Gdańsk-Gustorzyn gas pipeline has successfully passed a mandatory inspection using an intelligent pig. This electronic sensor-equipped device confirmed the high quality of construction work along the entire route, marking a significant milestone for the land-based portion of the Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) program.

The pipeline is a critical component of the FSRU project in the Gulf of Gdańsk, designed to transport natural gas from a floating LNG terminal to the national transmission system and regional consumers. This infrastructure aims to strengthen Poland's energy security and diversify gas supply routes.

The project is supported by a 2.2 billion PLN loan from Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, funded through the National Recovery Plan (KPO). Following the successful inspection, Gaz-System is eligible to apply for the first payment from the KPO. Current work on the land-based stage includes land reclamation, drainage reconstruction, and work on building facilities.
