Gaza assassinations used to reshape negotiation dynamics

The Palestinian Center for Political Studies has released a position paper analyzing how Israeli assassination operations in the Gaza Strip are being used to reshape the landscape of political negotiations. The report suggests that the timing of these escalations, which coincided with US advisor Jared Kushner’s visit to the region, is a strategic attempt to weaken the Palestinian negotiating position by imposing a new reality on the ground.

According to the analysis, the strategy relies on using field pressure as a direct negotiating tool, targeting leadership and administrative cadres to influence political outcomes. This creates dual pressure on Palestinians, facing both diplomatic and security challenges.

In separate field developments, medical authorities reported that six Palestinians were killed and 13 others injured in Gaza over a 24-hour period. Additionally, the Fishermen's Committees Union reported that 10 fishermen were detained by Israeli forces off the coast of the Al-Zawayda and Sheikh Ajlin areas after their boats were fired upon.
