Gaza Ceasefire Phase Two Deal and Reconstruction Plans Unveiled

The Palestinian Liberation Organization's executive committee welcomed a newly announced agreement to implement the second phase of a cease‑fire in Gaza, calling for a permanent end to hostilities, full Israeli withdrawal and unhindered humanitarian aid. The deal was praised for the involvement of regional and international partners, notably Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, the United States and Saudi Arabia, and for referencing UN Security Council resolution 2803.

In parallel, the Gaza Management Committee and the Palestinian Business Association met in Cairo to present a comprehensive two‑phase plan for managing Gaza’s commercial crossings and accelerating economic recovery. The plan stresses coordination with the private sector, protection of private property, and the opening of crossings to both Egyptian and Israeli traders. Both groups highlighted Egypt’s supportive role in stabilising the enclave and pledged continued cooperation to rebuild infrastructure and improve living conditions for Gaza’s residents.
