Gaza children nominated for Nobel Peace Prize in new initiative

An initiative led by philosophy professor Eugenio Mazzarella has proposed nominating the children of Gaza for the Nobel Peace Prize. The proposal, supported by a petition from Avvenire, aims to highlight the suffering of Palestinian children who have been deprived of education, safety, and normalcy due to the ongoing conflict.

Palestinian director Ahmed Hassouna, whose documentary ‘Citizen Osama’ was selected to represent Palestine at the 99th Academy Awards, expressed gratitude for the initiative, stating that the children deserve to have their voices heard by the world.

In a related humanitarian effort, Palestinian physician Izzeldin Abuelaish, who lost three daughters in the war, conducted a series of meetings in the Campania region of Italy, including Naples, Sorrento, and Castellammare di Stabia. Abuelaish shared messages of reconciliation and hope, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and human connection in the face of division and conflict.
