Gaza Strip faces continued strikes and ceasefire violations

Reports indicate that Israel continues to conduct military operations in the Gaza Strip despite the ceasefire agreement signed on October 10, 2025. According to the Gaza government media office, there have been 4,379 ceasefire violations over the past 315 days, resulting in 1,286 Palestinian deaths and 4,257 injuries.

Recent strikes have targeted critical infrastructure and religious sites. These include a water treatment plant in the Sheikh Ridhwan neighborhood, two mosques in Deir el-Balah, and a mosque in the El Shati refugee camp. In the Bureij refugee camp, an airstrike on a home reportedly killed a four-year-old child and injured several others. Hamas spokespersons have characterized these attacks on civilian infrastructure and displaced persons' camps as direct violations of the agreement.

The humanitarian situation remains dire due to the ongoing blockade. Shortages of cooking gas have forced families to use wood or cardboard for fuel, leading to a 20-fold increase in the price of lighters. Additionally, aid delivery remains significantly below targets, with only 35% of planned humanitarian aid trucks successfully entering the territory.
