Gazi Baba Municipality exempts youth up to 35 from utility fees

The Mayor of Gazi Baba Municipality, Boban Stefkovski, has announced that residents up to the age of 35 are now exempt from paying utility fees for the construction of their first home. While the measure was originally intended for individuals up to 29 years old, the age limit was increased to 35 following an analysis of the needs of young people in the municipality.

To qualify for the exemption, applicants must be residents of Gazi Baba and must not exceed 35 years of age on the day they submit their request. The incentive applies to the construction, extension, or addition of a first home owned by the applicant, which must be used exclusively for personal residential purposes.

Applicants are required to submit complete technical documentation in accordance with the Law on Construction and provide a statement declaring that the property will be used for their own housing for a minimum period of 10 years. Stefkovski stated that the measure aims to encourage young people and married couples to remain in the local community and establish their future within the municipality.
