Gazi Teknopark in Ankara hits 98% occupancy, fuels tech ecosystem growth

Gazi Teknopark, launched in 2008 by Gazi University in Ankara’s Gölbaşı district, spans about 20,000 m² and now hosts more than 180 technology firms and roughly 1,400 R&D, software, design and support staff. Since its inception the park has overseen the completion of over 2,000 projects across software, engineering, health‑tech, artificial intelligence, energy and scientific research.

The park’s occupancy rose from 89 % in 2023 to 98 % in 2025, with a target of near‑full capacity by the end of the year. About 22 % of the resident firms operate in an incubator mode, highlighting the park’s role in nurturing start‑ups. Director Burcu Alkan Bilir stresses that growth is measured by project commercialisation, sustainable sales, qualified employment and the ability of firms to compete in global markets, not merely by the number of tenants. Gazi Teknopark also provides services beyond space, including regulatory compliance support, project monitoring, public‑funding facilitation and commercialisation assistance.
