Gaziantep Mayor introduces Bahçelievler housing project

Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin has introduced the sample unit of the Bahçelievler Housing Project. Designed to blend modern living with local picnic culture, the project features homes with approximately 30 square meters of indoor space, a 15-square-meter veranda, and a 65-square-meter garden area.

The project aims to build 20,000 garden houses, with units designed as 2+1 layouts to encourage intergenerational living. For specific groups including martyrs' families, veterans, and retirees, the announced price is 590,000 TL. The development, which includes architectural work by Mehmet Haz, focuses on restoring neighborhood culture and connection to nature.
