Gaziantep builds new international congress center

Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality is constructing a new, modern congress center designed to bolster the city’s international congress and exhibition tourism. Mayor Fatma Şahin recently inspected the ongoing construction site to review progress.

The facility will be built on a 35,000 square meter area and will include three separate halls with a combined capacity of 4,120 people. Located at the intersection of the Şahinbey and Şehitkamil districts, the center is positioned for high accessibility via tram lines, public transportation, and major road networks.

Beyond professional conventions and fairs, the center is intended to serve as a hub for the city’s cultural and social life. It is planned to host a variety of events, including theater performances, concerts, and large-scale social gatherings.
