Gaziantep Dülük-OSB Tunnel construction progresses
Construction is progressing on the Dülük-OSB Tunnel in Gaziantep, a strategic infrastructure project designed to connect the city center with the Gaziantep Organized Industrial Zone. The project, a collaboration between the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, the Gaziantep Organized Industrial Zone Presidency (GAOSB), and the General Directorate of Highways (KGM), aims to reduce travel time from 45 minutes to 10 minutes.
The project includes the construction of two three-lane tunnels, each 3,800 meters long. The total road length will reach 8,315 meters, connecting the Dülük Junction to main arteries within the industrial zone and the TAG Highway. This route is intended to serve both urban traffic and regional logistics.
Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin and AK Party Group Deputy Chairman Abdulhamit Gül recently inspected the site. Mayor Şahin noted that a revision to the project has extended the tunnel and modeled the entrances after the Marmaray in Istanbul. She stated that the project is currently halfway complete.
