Gaziantep Eid al-Adha markets experience record crowding
On the day before Eid al-Adha, livestock markets in Gaziantep were packed with sellers and buyers, reaching unprecedented levels of activity. Farmers arrived early from other provinces and districts, bringing dozens of animals to sell at prices many buyers described as high. Purchasers such as Mustafa and Hamza Bayındır complained that prices were "a bit high" but said they had to buy anyway. Sellers reported mixed feelings: some, like Ökkeş Atılgan, sold half of the twenty animals they brought, while others, such as Metin Gücünoğlu and Musa Önal, noted lower demand than the previous year and price ranges between 360‑400 Turkish lira per animal. The intense bargaining created a vivid, bustling scene at the markets.
