Gaziantep FK signs Sontje Hansen from Middlesbrough

Gaziantep FK has completed the signing of Sontje Hansen from English Championship side Middlesbrough. The 24-year-old attacker joins the Turkish club on a loan deal that includes an option to purchase.

Hansen, a versatile forward capable of playing as a right winger, left winger, or center-forward, was developed in the Ajax youth academy. His career highlights include winning the UEFA European Under-17 Championship with the Netherlands in 2019 and earning the Golden Boot at the FIFA U-17 World Cup that same year after scoring six goals.

Following his time at Ajax and NEC Nijmegen, Hansen moved to Middlesbrough in 2025. Throughout his professional career, he has recorded 51 goals and 41 assists in 253 appearances.
