Gaziantep Forum III to host international scholars in Turkey

The third Gaziantep Forum is scheduled to take place from October 21 to 23 at the Şahinbey Congress and Art Center. Hosted by Gaziantep Islam Science and Technology University (GİBTÜ), the international event will bring together scholars, academics, and thinkers from various geographical regions.

Under the theme “From Islamic Commonalities to a Universal Vision – Methodological Foundations and Contemporary Challenges,” the forum will explore the nature of Islamic commonalities, the possibilities of creating a shared ground, and issues related to creed, jurisprudence, politics, and social matters.

Prof. Dr. Şehmus Demir, Rector of GİBTÜ, stated that the forum aims to view Islamic commonalities not merely as a framework for unity among Muslim societies, but as a way to address the shared problems of humanity. He emphasized the need for a new disciplinary horizon where Islamic commonalities are understood as the horizon of human commonalities.
