Gaziantep Islam Science and Technology University opens GETAT medical center
Gaziantep Islam Science and Technology University (GİBTÜ) has officially opened its Traditional and Complementary Medicine Application and Research Center (GETAT). The opening ceremony was attended by university management, academics, students, and healthcare professionals.
According to Rector Prof. Dr. Şehmus Demir, the center is designed to strengthen the university's scientific production capacity in the health sector by integrating education, research, and practical application. Prof. Dr. Aliye Bulut, Director of the GETAT Center, noted that the center was established following a regulation published in the Official Gazette on January 6, 2026. The center's objectives include developing interdisciplinary research, fostering new academic collaborations, and providing specialized training for healthcare workers.
