Turkish municipalities conclude summer youth sports and arts programs
Various municipalities across Turkey have concluded a series of summer programs aimed at the physical, social, and artistic development of children and youth.
In the realm of sports, several large-scale initiatives reached their conclusion. In Bursa, Yıldırım Municipality provided sports opportunities to 36,818 children across 16 different branches. Yunusemre Municipality hosted 4,000 participants in 12 different disciplines, while Manisa Metropolitan Municipality also completed its summer sports schools for 5,000 children. Other local programs included football schools in Toroslar, sports activities in Sarız, and a nature-focused summer camp in Şanlıurfa.
Artistic and cultural programs also saw significant engagement. Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality hosted its first International Children's Music Camp, featuring piano and violin students, and announced the establishment of a music academy to provide long-term training. In Akçaabat, the 13th International Akçaabat Painting Workshop brought together artists from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Egypt, the Philippines, Russia, and Vietnam, including a specialized workshop for young painters. Additionally, Kepez in Antalya announced the start of its 3rd International Culture Festival, featuring concerts and various workshops.
