Gaziantep Natural Life Park opens Predator Island for lion viewing
The Gaziantep Natural Life Park has implemented the ‘Predator Island’ project, a 5,000-square-meter area designed to mimic the natural habitats of lions. The installation features greenery, rocky elevations, and wide walking areas, allowing visitors to observe the animals' natural behaviors from just a few steps away, separated only by a glass wall.
The park currently houses 14 lions, including four 1.5-year-old cubs (two males and two females). As one of the largest zoos in Turkey and among the significant ones globally, the park hosts approximately 7,500 animals across 350 species.
Visitors have expressed excitement regarding the new proximity to the predators, noting the ability to witness daily interactions and movements closely through the glass partitions.
