Gazmend Halilaj detained for 30 days over alleged threats to Albin Kurti

The Special Department of the Basic Court in Prishtina has ordered a 30-day detention for Gazmend Halilaj. Halilaj is suspected of the criminal offenses of “threat” and “attack on an official person.”

The prosecution requested the detention, alleging that if released, Halilaj might obstruct the criminal proceedings by evading summons or repeating similar criminal acts. The investigation specifically concerns the alleged threatening of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti. The parties involved have 48 hours to appeal the decision to the Court of Appeals.
