Gazment Bardhi accuses Edi Rama of meeting with wanted individual

Gazment Bardhi, leader of the Democratic Party parliamentary group, has leveled serious allegations against Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Special Anti-Corruption Structure (SPAK).

Bardhi claims that Prime Minister Rama met with Ergys Agasi before Agasi's arrest in Durrës on August 26. Agasi was a person wanted by justice authorities in connection with the AKSHI case. Bardhi criticized the Prime Minister for remaining silent regarding these meetings when confronted in Parliament.

Additionally, Bardhi has accused SPAK of procedural delays regarding former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku. He stated that despite investigations into undeclared assets, corruption, and money laundering, the prosecution has not yet submitted the official request to Parliament to lift her immunity for arrest. Bardhi suggested that SPAK's actions appear to be synchronized with the political calendar of the executive branch rather than strictly following legal mandates.
