GAZOO Racing wins sixth consecutive WRC manufacturers’ title

GAZOO Racing World Rally Team (GR-WRT) has secured its sixth consecutive FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) manufacturers’ title following the Rally Chile. The victory was highlighted by a 1-2 finish for the team, with Oliver Solberg and co-driver Elliott Edmondson taking first place in the Toyota GR Yaris Rally1, followed by Sébastien Ogier and Vincent Landais in second.

This achievement equals the long-standing WRC record of six consecutive championships previously held by Lancia between 1987 and 1992. It also brings Toyota’s total to ten manufacturers’ titles. Solberg’s win in Chile, marked by a 16.6-second lead, was his second victory of the 2026 season.

While the manufacturers' title is decided, the battle for the drivers’ championship remains active. GR-WRT Chairman Akio Toyoda noted that all five drivers on the team still maintain a mathematical chance of becoming champion heading into the final two rounds of the season.
