Gazzada Schianno joins local police convention in Varese

The municipality of Gazzada Schianno has joined an inter-municipal local police convention led by Vedano Olona. This network includes the municipalities of Castiglione Olona, Venegono Superiore, Venegono Inferiore, and Morazzone.

The agreement allows for the sharing of personnel, technical tools, and information across municipal borders to improve operational capacity and response times. Key objectives include addressing urban decay, environmental protection, traffic violations, and crimes targeting vulnerable individuals.

This initiative, promoted by Mayor Stefano Frattini, follows the hiring of a new local police officer, which provided the necessary staffing to support the collaborative model. Additionally, the convention enables the participating municipalities to apply for annual co-financing grants offered by the Lombardy Region.
