GBHS Bamenda classrooms equipped with new foldable green boards

Government Bilingual High School (GBHS) Bamenda Campus B has been equipped with 27 new foldable green boards following a classroom rehabilitation project. The installation is part of the Programme for Reconstruction and Development of the North-West and South-West Regions (PPRD), implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with funding from the Islamic Development Bank.

Unlike traditional fixed blackboards, these foldable green boards offer teachers increased writing space, allowing them to keep previous lesson material visible while adding new information. The choice of green surfaces aims to improve classroom ergonomics by reducing glare and reflection, providing better contrast and legibility for students seated at various angles.

The rehabilitation, executed by Dreamland Connect PLC, also included improvements to sanitation facilities, paved walkways, security infrastructure, and fencing across 27 classrooms in Blocks A through G.
