GBM Konect launches Konect 2 field data platform
GBM Konect has launched Konect 2, a complete rebuild of its field data capture platform designed for teams working in remote locations with unreliable connectivity. The update aims to reduce operational costs for councils, contractors, and infrastructure teams by addressing issues such as data sync errors, the need for manual data cleaning, and delayed project milestones.
According to Global GBM CEO Russell Shooter, the new platform improves the foundation for growing operations. Key features of Konect 2 include automatic data synchronization to ensure information is captured and sent back to the office once coverage is available, a new Data Tab to enforce data structure at the point of capture, and a Mapbox-based vector mapping engine for faster rendering and offline basemap support.
