Gübretaş signs 35-year port operating agreement with Alport

Gübre Fabrikaları T.A.Ş. (Gübretaş) has signed a 35-year operating rights agreement for the İskenderun Gübretaş Limanı with Alport Liman İşletmeciliği A.Ş. Under the terms of the contract, Gübretaş will retain ownership of the port while Alport manages its rehabilitation, development, operation, and maintenance.

Alport is expected to invest approximately $190 million into the facility. Additionally, Alport will develop infrastructure and superstructure for fertilizer activities on a 30,000-square-meter area designated for Gübretaş's use. Through turnover shares and annual fixed operating fees, Gübretaş anticipates generating a total of $350 million in revenue over the duration of the contract.

Fertilizer production at the Sarıseki/İskenderun site is scheduled to continue without interruption during the investment and development process. The agreement will take effect following the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals and permits.
