GC Am Habsberg clinches German Golf League title as Dorsten crowns new city champions

The Deutsche Golf Liga Final Four in Munich‑Riedhof saw newly promoted GC Am Habsberg win the men’s championship 7‑5 over Frankfurt GC, after a last‑minute legal ruling admitted Frankfurt into the final. Coach Peter Wolfenstetter’s line‑up placed Leon Breimer at the top, who delivered an 8&7 victory in singles. Bronze went to GC Hubbelrath. In the women’s final, G&LC Berlin‑Wannsee secured its first club title with a 5.5‑3.5 win over Hamburg GC, highlighted by strong foursome play from Sophie Bingel, Camille Peltier and Rosalie Stadler.

The 24th Dorsten Stadtmeisterschaften at GC Schwarze Heide attracted 54 participants. Julia Jäger and Michael Terwort emerged as the new city champions, while Barbara Kelwing‑Groschinski recorded a hole‑in‑one on hole 17. The event was supported by Sparkasse Vest, mayor Tobias Stockhoff and club manager Anja Drews, and received praise from golf official Michael Lachs for its organization and sponsorship.
