GC Cell confirms Immuncell-LC improves survival in liver cancer transplant patients

GC Cell has announced research findings presented at the 37th International Association for the Study of Gastrointestinal Oncology (IASGO 2026) regarding the efficacy of Immuncell-LC. The study focused on hepatocellular carcinoma patients who underwent liver transplantation despite exceeding the standard Milan criteria.

A retrospective comparative analysis was conducted between a group receiving Immuncell-LC starting four weeks post-transplant and a control group receiving no additional treatment. The results indicated that the Immuncell-LC group demonstrated an 87.5% two-year recurrence-free survival (RFS) rate, compared to 62.9% in the control group. Additionally, the overall survival (OS) rate for the Immuncell-LC group was 100%, surpassing the control group's 81.5%.

The study also noted that the treatment showed good tolerability with no observed treatment-related toxicity. Researchers noted that this study expands the clinical potential of the treatment from patients undergoing liver resection to those undergoing liver transplantation, offering a potential option for managing recurrence risks in high-risk patients.
