GC Medi-I unveils ‘Uisarang AI’ to transform medical records into a Medical OS
GC Medi-I has announced the launch of ‘Uisarang AI’, an artificial intelligence-based solution designed to transform Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems into a comprehensive ‘Medical Operating System (OS)’. During a media day in Seoul, CEO Kim Jin-tae detailed the company’s transition from a software distributor to a platform provider, aiming to connect the healthcare ecosystem through its network of over 16,000 clinics.
The ‘Uisarang AI’ solution assists medical staff across four stages: pre-consultation (summarizing patient history), during consultation (real-time voice recognition to generate SOAP charts), post-consultation (managing follow-up appointments), and clinic management (natural language queries for administrative statistics). To ensure data security, the system processes sensitive medical information on a dedicated internal server using NVIDIA H100 infrastructure rather than transmitting data to external generative AI services.
GC Medi-I plans to provide ‘Uisarang AI’ free of charge to medical facilities until the end of this year to expand user experience. The company also revealed a roadmap to launch ‘Uisarang Cloud’ in March 2025, aiming to complete its evolution into a full-scale Medical OS.
