GCAP 2026 conference program and tickets launched

The Independent Games Australia (IGEA) has launched the program and ticket sales for the 20th anniversary of the GCAP conference. Scheduled for October 5–7, 2026, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, the event is part of Melbourne International Games Week.

The conference aims to connect developers, publishers, and educators through technical skill-sharing and business networking. The 2026 lineup includes industry figures such as Gregory Louden, Creative Director at Housemarque, and Samantha Low, a publishing director and narrative designer.

To mark the 20th anniversary, IGEA is offering 20 free GCAP Assist tickets to facilitate access for under-represented or marginalised communities within the Australian games industry. This includes women, queer individuals, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds or those affected by recent industry layoffs. Applications for these tickets close on August 28, 2026.
