GCash expands digital investing access via GStocks PH

GCash is expanding access to the Philippine stock market through its in-app platform, GStocks PH. By providing seamless, paperless registration, the finance super app aims to lower barriers to entry for retail investors. Currently, GStocks PH serves over 2 million users via broker AB Capital Securities Inc., capturing a significant portion of online retail stock market accounts on the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE).

Data from the PSE’s 2025 Stock Market Investor Profile report indicates that total stock market accounts rose 27.3 percent to 3.64 million last year. Of these, 99.2 percent are held by retail investors, with 3.22 million accounts managed through digital trading platforms and e-wallets. This represents a 30.5 percent year-on-year growth in online retail accounts.

Winsley Bangit, Group Head of New Businesses at Mynt, stated that improving digital access to investing helps create pathways for more Filipinos to build a secure financial future, moving these opportunities beyond a traditionally privileged few.
