GDAI announces first 15 studios for Supernova incubation programme

The Game Developers Association of India (GDAI) has announced the first cohort of 15 game studios selected for Supernova, a nationwide incubation programme. Launched in July 2026, the three-month initiative is designed to support pre-revenue studios and original game intellectual properties, helping them transform prototypes into commercially viable, globally competitive businesses.

The cohort was selected from more than 260 applications across India. Participating studios will receive customized mentorship, access to investors and publishers, industry credits, and AI-led development support. The curriculum covers technical and business areas including game art, engineering, team building, live operations, monetization, and marketing.

Supernova is conducted in partnership with Tencent, IVIPRO, SpielFabrique, Indus Appstore, Mintegral, and Lakshya Digital. The programme will culminate in a demo day at the India Game Developers Conference (IGDC), where studios will showcase their work to industry stakeholders. The selected studios include Absurd Games, Team Quasar, AbhiTech Games, Konkan Coast Studios, Dunali Games, Chitrakala Interactive, Ashdev Studios, Compiling Shaders, Brahman Studios, Yaari Games, Funwave Studio, Arcadon Games, Shivaansh Artvision, AnonVision Creative Labs, and Parkince.
