Gdańsk hosts major international figure skating and short track events

Gdańsk is hosting major international ice sports competitions at the Olivia Hall. From October 7 to 10, the city serves as the final stop of the ISU Junior Grand Prix figure skating series. More than 130 athletes from 38 countries, including representatives from Japan, Canada, the United States, China, and France, are competing for medals and spots in the Junior Grand Prix final in Chongqing, China.

Additionally, the Polish Speed Skating Association is preparing to host the ISU Short Track World Tour in Gdańsk from February 5 to 7. This event follows the International Skating Union's decision to award the tournament to Poland based on the city's successful track record of hosting high-ranking international competitions. The February event will serve as a key opportunity for athletes to build form and qualify for the World Championships.
