Gdańsk medical institutions invest over 430 million PLN

Gdański Uniwersytet Medyczny (GUMed) and the University Clinical Center in Gdańsk have received over 430 million PLN in investments, funded by the National Recovery Plan (KPO) and the state budget. These funds are directed toward modernizing medical education and clinical infrastructure.

GUMed is utilizing 282.2 million PLN, including 190 million PLN from the KPO, to support 18 investment projects. These initiatives aim to increase medical student enrollment and improve training quality. Key developments include new didactic buildings for the Faculty of Health Sciences and the construction of the University Dental Center, which features 32 phantom units for preclinical training and 94 clinical dental units. Additionally, Student Dormitory No. 2 has been modernized to include 106 rooms accessible to people with disabilities.

The University Clinical Center is implementing projects valued at over 150 million PLN, with more than 114 million PLN sourced from the KPO. These investments focus on key medical fields, including oncology, cardiology, and digitalization.
