Gdańsk residents raise concerns over new tram line construction

In Gdańsk, the planned construction of the Gdańsk Południe–Wrzeszcz tram line has raised concerns among residents of the Morena district. The issue centers on the potential impact of construction on residential buildings near ul. Wileńska, where a tunnel entrance is planned.

Residents recently received excerpts from a 2021 expert report by INGEO sp. z o.o., which discussed the impact of the investment on nearby structures, including vibration protection for a building located approximately 26 meters from the projected line. The Gdańsk City Expansion Directorate has responded by explaining the planned safety measures and monitoring actions that will be implemented before work begins.

The tram line is intended to connect the Piecki-Migowo district with Wrzeszcz, creating a direct link between the upper and lower terraces of the city.
