GDDKiA orders new analysis for DK75 Sądeczanka route

The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) has signed a contract with Protechnicon to conduct additional analyses for the new DK75 route, known as Sądeczanka, on a 9.2-kilometer section between Łososin Dolny and Tęgoborze. The project, valued at approximately 593,000 PLN, aims to re-evaluate potential route alignments following protests from local residents and feedback from local governments.

While a current environmental decision supports 'Variant C'—which bypasses Mount Just to the west—the Ministry of Infrastructure has ordered a review of alternative options. The analysis will specifically re-examine 'Variant A', which involves constructing a tunnel under Mount Just and running the road closer to the shore of the Rożnów Reservoir. The contractor will also develop an original third proposal.

Over the next 10 months, the new options will be compared against the existing Variant C based on social, environmental, technical, and economic factors. The results will determine whether the current environmental decision remains valid or if a new procedure for a different route must be initiated.
