GE Aerospace to acquire CPP for $11.75 billion

GE Aerospace has entered into an agreement to acquire Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) for $11.75 billion. The deal, which involves $7 billion in cash and the remainder through new debt, marks the company’s largest acquisition since becoming an independent entity in 2024.

CPP, a Cleveland-based manufacturer founded in 1991, specializes in highly engineered castings and sub-assemblies for the commercial aerospace and defense markets. The company produces complex components using superalloys, titanium, aluminum, magnesium, and steel for various aircraft, weapon systems, and industrial gas turbines. GE Aerospace intends to use the acquisition to secure mission-critical casting capacity and address supply chain bottlenecks, particularly for turbine airfoils.

The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2027, subject to regulatory approvals. GE Aerospace expects the deal to be accretive to adjusted earnings per share and free cash flow within the first year of completion. The acquisition will allow GE to integrate design and manufacturing processes to accelerate the development of next-generation engine technologies.
