GE-Proton 11-2 brings wired PS5 controller haptics and major game fixes

GloriousEggroll released GE-Proton 11-2, a stability‑focused update for Linux Steam users. The patch adds wired USB haptic feedback for PlayStation controllers—including DualShock 4, DualSense and DualSense Edge—by routing audio through PulseAudio, enabling trigger resistance and vibration in supported titles. It also incorporates upstream Valve fixes that make Marvel Rivals and Diablo IV playable and addresses audio stuttering in Cyberpunk 2077 and video playback issues in VRChat and GTA San Andreas.

Earlier on the same day, GE‑Proton 11-3 was announced, delivering a hotfix for the wine‑wayland double‑input bug and resolving aarch64 build failures. The new version integrates OptiScaler and AMD’s FSR 4 upscaling, promising higher frame rates for Vulkan games on Linux. Together, the two releases aim to narrow the performance gap between Linux and Windows gaming environments.
